Our client, a well established and prominent law firm, located in Port Elizabeth Central, is currently looking to employ an experienced Conveyancer.

To secure an interview candidates must hold either B.Proc or B.Juris or LLB AND must be an admitted Conveyancer.



  • Load guarantees on NCS and TPFA

  • Check guarantees

  • Release and print guarantees

  • Do fee projection for conveyancing

  • Post fees

  • Update list of instructions per secretary and add fees

  • Pull reports on a weekly basis

  • Attend to e-mails

  • Attend to telephone queries

  • Signing with clients

  • Drafting of special documents

  • Keep SAHL workflow up to date

  • Check documents

  • Estates, advertisements, L & D accounts, finalisation of estates

  • Notarial work: ante-nuptial contracts, Deeds of Cession – EUA, Apostilles, authentication, etc.

  • Drafting of Wills

  • Drafting of contracts

  • Attend to queries for conveyancing paralegals

  • Drafting and registration of new trusts

  • Attending to Removal of Restrictive conditions – Notarially;

  • Attending to Removal of Restrictive conditions – NMB application

  • Obtaining zoning certificates and liaising with Town Planner regarding rezoning applications

  • Meeting with agents

  • Marketing

  • Attend to “walk in” clients

  • Balance files to enable the department to close files and attend to file away's


Experience and Qualifications:

  • Must have at least 5 years' experience as a Conveyancer and Notary.

  • Proc or B.
    Juris or LLB, must be an admitted Conveyancer.



  • A passionate individual that will put in all the necessary efforts to grow the department.

  • Continuously strengthen service delivery and network.

  • Apply initiatives that will provide for constant development within department year on year.

  • Able to manage a team of individuals effectively.

  • Able to manage the integration of department within the rest of the firm.

  • Able to work alone and handle a large work load.
