Sales Representative - Energy

YOUNG, DYNAMIC AND DRIVEN SALES REPRESENTATIVE FOR THE CAPE TOWN AREA. 


OBJECTIVE:


The objective of the role is to optimise the sales in the area by providing quality service and increasing customer satisfaction in a profitable and safe manner.


 


KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:



  • Grade 12 qualification, preferably with relevant tertiary qualification (Marketing or Technical).

  • A minimum of two years sales experience.

  • Working knowledge of CRM tools an advantage.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Proven sales achievements

  • Customer centric individual. 

  • Must be willing and able to travel. Own reliable vehicle is required

  • Experience in sales to industrial, heat generation, welding, soldering, cutting industries an advantage


 


OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE:



  • Achieving and exceeding individual business objectives / targets as well as supporting the team to achieve overall team objectives

  • Ensuring that all projects and tasks assigned by management are met on time and in full

  • Forecasting annual activity by estimating the new business that needs to be generated from existing customers in portfolio and new customers in order to achieve targets

  • Ensuring compliance with the sales standards as communicated by the Line Manager

  • Driving sales by signing up new business while keeping contact with existing customers through visits

  • Calling on potential and new customers and contracting them

  • Ensure that the profitability and returns on investment are optimised by maximising efficiency of resources

  • Liaise with Customer Services and Customers to ensure the credit management of all customers

  • Required to develop and maintain an excellent understanding of the key customers / target markets to ensure that their needs are being met and their business is retained and grown

  • Liaise with the Commercial Manager/Regional Sales Manager in terms of forecasting sales targets and ensuring that they are met;

  • Required to have a sound understanding of the market, competitors, customers etc. ensuring that such information is leveraged to attain sales targets;

  • Observe and comply with company policies/regulations that are applicable
