Marketing Portfolio Manager : Higher Education - Ct (employment Equity)

Leading Business School (operating as private co) offering leadership & management programmes to individuals & corporates across Africa seeking a qualified and experienced Portfolio Marketing Manager. Your core objectives includes acquisition marketing, development, overall strategy, budgeting, promotional campaigns, and market research, aiming achieve revenue/sales of the of the SA Open Enrolment

Job description and deliverables


Qualifications:  University degree in marketing


 Work Experience: 8 – 10 years’ broad experience in marketing roles including minimum 3 years’ in a “marketing manager” or similar role


 Seniority level: Mid – Senior


 Indicative role outputs:


Developed portfolio marketing strategy focused primarily on:


1. Curating media messaging that will attract new customers to enable the business to scale and


2. Identifying gaps in the market; mobilizing the business to act on pportunities.



  • Provides clear understanding to the business as to the link between the portfolio’s marketing investment and related revenue generation.

  • Developed holistic marketing implementation plan with internal stakeholders and external agencies in order to achieve strategy.

  • Owner and curator of lead-generation campaign dashboards.

  • Controlled portfolio marketing budget.

  • Developed advertising campaign material, written and designed collateral for all marketing vehicles (paid media, print, brochures, events, radio etc.)


 Requirements:



  • Energised and creative team player ready to join a close-knit and high-performing team of passionate marketers

  • At least three years’ experience in a marketing “manager” or similar role

  • Proven experience developing marketing strategies and related implementation plans

  • Proven experience curating and managing a marketing budget

  • Familiar with CRM and marketing automation systems and processes

  • An inherently analytical individual who looks to data to drive decisions

  • An excellent grasp of written English and grammar

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented and able to prioritise tasks to ensure the job gets done on time and within budget

  • Excellent communicator and collaborator who can engage confidently with all levels of roles

  • Adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced, always-changing, never-boring environment


 Key performance areas and indicators.


There is a requirement for this successful candidate to be future-focused, demonstrated through active identification of market growth opportunities relevant to this portfolio. Efficient and effective cross-functional partnering with internal and external stakeholders is critical to role success.


 Additional requirements for this role include but are not limited to: the ability to analyse campaign data, produce insights, generate reports, curate design briefs, compile presentations and present at senior level, engage confidently with clients, faculty and high profile speakers. Commercial focus includes development and management of the portfolio’s marketing budget as well as campaign reporting.
